We got off to a good start on the 8.15 ferry from Lochranza to Claonaig.
we got up to Oban by just after 3pm which was really good after passing Dunadd Castle and stopping for lunch in Kilmartin.
Mark is getting a bit quicker, we averaged about 12.3mph today.
Motivational Strategies
These take several forms:
- Encouragement : "Cum on Mark I ant brok sweat yet"
- Irony : "No Rush Lad"
- Simplification: "It's all down hill from here"
- Lies: "I don't remember this hill"
- Optimism:"We are nearly there only 4 miles to go"
Mark's techniques for slowing us down.
- "My heart rate is too high"
- "We need a picture of that"
- "I need to warm up"
- "I need to warm down"
- "My blood sugar is low"
